Each used drawer has its own opening report. After both demonstration sign-offs, the drawer is Open.

Consolidated nightly cash

Each used drawer is counted once. A drawer with recorded cash stays in this total. Card payments are counted once for the event, even when devices share a drawer or location.

Opening cash float Sum of the opening counts on used drawers. Not a sale. Cash sales Sum of drawer cash sales. Already included in the category totals below. Cash refunds Sum of cash returned from used drawers. Cash paid out Sum of Chapter cash removed from used drawers. Do not enter that expense again as a vendor. Actual counted drawer cash Sum of cash retained in used drawers. Cash removed for deposit Sum of cash prepared for deposit. Not a sale and not a tip.

Expected cash, actual cash, and variance are calculated for each drawer, then summed. Explain a drawer variance on that closing report before submission.

Cash tips paid directly to staff Amount Cash a guest gave staff that never remained as Chapter cash. Not included in the drawer, the deposit, category sales, or the amounts owed below.

Food and liquor sales

These totals describe what was sold, by cash and card together, excluding tips. They are the same sales as the tender lines. Do not add them to cash or card amounts.

Card activity

Card lines are processor activity for the whole event. Enter each card payment once, even when devices share a drawer or location. They do not change a drawer count, and they are not copied from the Square placeholder on a drawer.

Card sales Card charges for food and liquor, excluding tips. Card refunds Card refunds of those sales. Processing fees Processor fees. They reduce the card deposit and are not cash from the drawer. Card tips Tips added on card receipts. Not Chapter revenue and not included in card sales.

Card tip assignment

Bartender and cook card tips are parts of the card tips above, not additional tips.

Bartender card tips owed to CORE SYNC Paid to CORE SYNC. Do not enter this amount again under vendors. Cook card tips owed directly Paid to the cook. Do not include these in the CORE SYNC amount.

Cook fee Cook fee owed directly Labor owed to the cook. Not a tip. If this fee was taken from the drawer, record it only as cash paid out.

Other approved vendor amounts

Each line is a separate payment, with its own payee. Do not list CORE SYNC bartender tips or the cook fee and cook card tips here.

Discrepancy notes Notes explaining discrepancies Event notes. Explain each drawer variance on that drawer's closing report.
